Easy Motion's annual program

 

This is an example one year cronogram for two one and a half hour classes a week (Open level). We consider cycles with several months, each one with a special emphasis in a certain area, nevertheless learning follows a spiral pattern, with every component described bellow present during all the way.

 

Easy is surprise, walking through the unknown, being conscientious of all the mutating processes we pass through, the places and states we are in the moment. Therefore a cronogram is a mere possibility, all the "real" program will be dependent of the group formed and of our evolution together, adapting and transforming during the way.

 

The Spiral Cycles:

 

1.     Recovering the total body:

 

a)    The emotional body

(September to December),

 

¨   Reaching a state of total presence, regaining consciousness of ourselves here-and-now, using different meditation techniques (Osho's Dynamic meditations, sufi chakra breathing, AUM, za-zen, conducted meditations),

¨    Reaching a total and easy breathing,

¨   Feeling our inner energy flux constantly moving, and using it in a fluid and easy way. The creation of our own "tai-chi", opening the connections between heaven and earth. Abolishing the inside-outside borders, feeling the transparency,

¨ Inner-cleaning, releasing emotional blocks, freeing the way to easily express ourselves,

¨ Regaining our true voice. The sound of movement, a sound voyage through the body. The correspondence with the chakras's energetic centres,

¨  Learning how to stop, a non criticized self-observation.

 

b) The physical-mental body (September to April),

 

¨    Movement applied anatomy,

¨   Learning to really relax, being conscious of all the body's physical parts and of their tension conditioning, static and dynamically, the body reconquered as an all ,

¨ Reconquering the conscience of our basic elements (water, earth, fire, air,...) and its compounds, eliminating borders, regaining the fluidity of the metamorphoses hard-soft, light-heavy, etc,

¨ "Soft landing", beginning to feel total surrender love relationship with the physical environment we are in, mainly with the ground which attracts us inexorably all our life,

¨   Our main partner, the ground, and the paths towards vertical (millions of years of evolution),

¨   Intensively getting to feel and cultivate our rooting, starting with the vertical rooting, and discovering a loose centre were all the fluid energetic fluxes go to, where they are processed, and from where they may go out transformed by our creativity, flowing from and towards this centre, practicing the transparent borders, inexistent,

¨   Learning to take this root, this ground, this "earth" with us through space, and  without loosing it, sharing ourselves with others

¨   Yin-Yang; contraction-relaxation, concentration-expansion, confrontation-harmony,  extremities touching each other, the harmony we reach in the easy flowing between extremes,

¨    How to have a better energy usage,

¨    Taking physical and emotional risks in safety. Regaining a strong physicallity,

¨    Rhytm: Using and not being used by it; Getting to know the sensation of the conscious and uncounscious trance; what it does to our body cycles,

¨   Sound harmony and musicality; the "silence",

¨   Using this fresh and renewed state for the contact-improvisation practice, discovering our easy movement,

 

c) The notion of “being part of” (January to April),

 

¨   The environment: territory, far-close, up-down, front-back,

¨   The senses: Vision, smell, touch, hearing, flavour. Extra-sensorial perception,

¨   Objects: textures, volumes, density, weight, shape. The metamorphosis-expantion of the body when relating with the object,

¨   The other: arriving, dealing with emotion, discovering difficulties, questioning and experimenting. The metamorfosis-expantion of the body when relating with the other,

¨ Others and the environment, the all. Practice of not letting the part cover the all.

 

2. Integrating (May to July):

 

¨   Refining the sense of microscopic and macroscopic, the metamorphosis of the space-time notion,

¨    Being present in the moment now! A no preparation start, using the space, our present condition, the environment and others, whatever they may be, independently of "ideal" or "perfection" notions,

¨   Contact-improvisation: Gaining centre power and fluidity, taking the notions acquired with slow motion to higher and higher speeds and reactions. Practice in the spherical universe: the inversion (upside down positions and using the upper body as support, new ways towards support); flying; how to offer a quick strong and safe support to others; refining the notion of arriving; instantaneous relaxing and contracting,

¨   Inclusion of martial practices – practicing the way from confrontation to harmony and back, closing the cycle,

¨    Redefining the limits of our stamina, strength, etc.,

¨    Managing risk,

¨    Reaching a superior energetic usage,

¨   Getting rid of habitudes and mechanizations, reaching the pure and light nudity of the total body, or better still, the total absence of the notion of being naked, the lightness of being, this time well sustained, basis for a fresh creation,

¨    The celebration.
